Off-Season Conditioning
4 Sessions: Saturdays, Oct 24, Nov 7, Nov 21 & Dec 4
Unleash your outdoor enthusiast! This year we're offering four focused activities that will teach you that there is more to cardio exercise than just running.
Kayak: Oct 24 @ 8:30-10:30am
TFP will be offering demonstrations on how to paddle, maneuver, portage, water safety and communicating between boats and within your boat. Rental can be organized through Off Shore at the retail center near the canoe launch where you can walk your boat to the launch.
Mountain Bike #1: Nov 7 @ 8:30am-1pm
You will learn maneuvering and tactics for handling different types of terrain in order to improve your biking ability. You must have your own mountain bike and helmet. The session will meet at the TFP Studio and will travel to Franklin WI to ride the Crystal Ridge ski hill and mountain bike trails. Meet at the TFP Studio at 8:30am and plan to return by 1pm.
Mountain Bike #2: Nov 21 @ 8:30am-2pm
You will learn maneuvering and tactics such as shifting, bunny hops, and climbs for handling different types of terrain in order to improve your biking ability. You must have your own mountain bike and helmet... and be willing to get dirty. The session will meet at the TFP Studio and will travel to Kettle Moraine at 8:30am and return by 2pm.
Partner Challenge: Dec. 5 @ 8:30am
This has been the most popular OCG activity in past years. Now you can pick your own partner in order to plan your best strategy! TFP will design a “Muddy Buddy” like competition (without the mud) for you, during which you will have to switch runner-to-biker as you work your way through orienteering clues. Participants should have the ability to run 5 miles and bike 12 miles. Prizes will be awarded to the teams that complete the challenge. 8:30am-10am
Please make sure you bring your signed waiver to the first session. |
